IKEA Alexandra logo projector installation
A showroom projection brief describing illuminated instructions over furniture displays at IKEA Alexandra Mall.
Project story based on the public source and cleared customer/photo media; measured outcomes are not independently confirmed.
Challenge
Following our earlier installation at IKEA Jurong Point, IKEA asked Big Shine Singapore to bring the same approach to the Alexandra Mall showroom: use projected instructions instead of printed signage to show shoppers hidden furniture features without cluttering the display.
Site conditions
The projectors are ceiling-mounted above selected product displays — sofas, height-adjustable desks and storage beds — across the Alexandra Mall showroom floor. The exact mounting points, throw distances and full list of displays covered have not been carried over into the current project record, so we are not publishing them as specifications yet.
Big Shine solution
Each unit projects a short illuminated instruction directly onto the piece of furniture it sits above: “Lift seat for extra storage space”, “Adjust to favourite height of your desk”, “Pull out drawers for hidden storage”. Shoppers see the instruction as soon as they approach the display, without needing a staff member or a printed card.
System
The published photograph shows ceiling-mounted projectors casting instructions directly onto sofas, beds and desks on the showroom floor. Model, unit count and lens specification for this installation have not been carried over into the current project record.
Verified result
The photograph verifies illuminated instructions projected onto furniture in the showroom. We have not measured whether the approach reduced printed signage, changed how customers move through the floor, or affected staff enquiries, so we are not making an engagement or clutter-reduction claim here. Customer, logo and photo reuse for this project was cleared on 2026-09-19.
