Gardens by the Bay directional logo projectors

An outdoor wayfinding brief describing four projected units along a route from Bayfront MRT Exit B.

Project story based on the public source and cleared media; daylight-performance and cost claims are not independently confirmed.

Challenge

Gardens by the Bay wanted a way to guide visitors from Bayfront MRT Exit B toward its main entrance that would work outdoors, in daylight and at night, without adding more fixed signposts along the route.

Site conditions

Four projector units are spaced approximately 15–20 metres apart along the route from Bayfront MRT Exit B. Mounting method, power routing, weather protection and daylight-brightness readings for this outdoor installation have not been carried over into the current project record.

Big Shine solution

We selected high-wattage projector units for outdoor use and positioned four of them along the route to create a continuous sequence of directional marks guiding visitors toward the main area.

System

Four units and their approximate spacing are confirmed for this site; projector model, lens and mounting hardware have not been carried over into the current project record. The units were chosen for outdoor daylight and nighttime use, but we have not independently measured daylight performance at this specific site, so we are not repeating that as a verified result.

Verified result

The photograph confirms projected directional marks along the route and the four-unit arrangement. We have not measured cost efficiency or visitor wayfinding outcomes, so this page describes the installation rather than its performance. Venue, logo, photo and video reuse for this project was cleared on 2026-09-19.
